Assalamualaikum
okok so its a saturday nite and i just finished watching one amazing story on hallmark channel.a very rare occasion for me to be watching that channel.
OK...i came to watch it on the part where there were this 2 americans who were staying at a lady's home in german during a war between the american and the germans.
So anw i think before tt the lady named elizabeth made them put their weapons outside.So anw after that,there were 3 german soldiers who came and the situation was intense as the americans were trying to avoid an ugly situation.So this private of the american were outside w elizabeth's son and sneaked from the back threatening the germans w AN AXE cos they surrendered his weapon earlier and the germans dint know cos cudnt see.The germans almost dint want to give up their weapons cos they sort of knew that the private was alone.But the american sergeant voiced up that he wasnt alone and therefore after some persuasion from elizabeth that her son was out there,the germans finally gave up their weapons and then both the american and german soldiers had to take chelter at elizabeth's home in conditions that both the parties would leave their weapons outside.
Yada yada yada...things were very intense as one more of the american who was a private too i think who was shot earlier somehow(dint catch that part), came in and they were like asking any of them could help.THen the german sergeant like slowly took out his knife behind the american sergeant who was attending to the poor kid,he thought that things would get nasty but he misunderstood the german sergeant's intentions to help the wounded man.
Blah3 it was the night of christmas,as they preparing dinner and talked,tension rose between the german lieutenant and the american sergeant.But it is saved by others' presence.
There was this more intensed situation after dinner after the kind american private gave presents to elizabeth,her son and the german private.So sweet.The german LT saw a medal that the American pvt. got from a trade but the LT misunderstood it and blew.At that point of time,the injured American pvt came out w a gun and the A SG persuaded him tt everything was ok and he could put the gun blah3 a shot was fired ACCIDENTALLY and the bullet went into the german pvt's arm (he dint know english btw).
The immense tension grew up blah3 but things were ok till the next morning where this "AMERICAN" or so called this "pretend-to-be-american" came in w a gun and threatening the germans but turned on the americans after that cos he was pretending.The "pretender" asked to bring the americans outside to eliminate them but somehow after some words by elizabeth, the german LT saved elizabeth when the "pretender captain" was abt to shoot her.
So blah3 they left on good terms and the german pvt came w the americans as a "prisoner" although they were ok while the "pretender" was handcuffed or tied or smtg.They said good bye to both elizabeth and her son.
The amazing story on how soldiers came into elizabeth's home as enemies and left her home as friends.

I guess individuals like elizabeth make the world a better place in this world. Having the stubborness to keep 2 countries at war at peace in her own home. How honourable can her intentions and effort get??
WELL friends...what have you done today to make the world a better place?
Be kind to others although it maybe hard to do at that point of time and if we are really really sincere, things may get alittle better after time.
Do unto others what you want them do unto you.
